1. day: Quito - Lago Agrio - El Puente

Flight 10:30 a.m. or bus journey (one day before - 8 hours) to Lago Agrio. Trip from Lago Agrio to El Puente. Canoe trip downstream Cuyabeno River to our camp place. Exciting night walk.

 

2. day: Cuyabeno River

After Breakfast - trek into the primary rain forest learning about medicinal plants, biological flora and fauna.

After lunch - journey downstream by water tubing to relax and enjoy the surrounding nature.


3. day: Cuyabeno River

After breakfast we paddle by traditional dug-out canoe on Laguna del Caiman, where we will enjoy the nature uniqueness.

After lunch - hike in the primary forest including lessons in the use of plants for survival.

Before we go back to our camp, we’ll have a relaxing time to swim and enjoy the sunset on the magnificent Laguna Grande.


4. day: Cuyabeno River

In the morning we walk to the Tarapuy Siona Community - our naturalist guide will explain us about the culture and traditions of the native people.

In the afternoon we will go to the Piranha-fishing and later back to our camp. In the night we go by canoe to search the caimans (alligators).

 

5. day: El Puente-Lago Agrio-Quito

In the early morning we will go to watch the birds.

After breakfast - journey downstream the Cuyabeno to El Puente.

Drive back to Lago Agrio at 16:00. Flight or bus journey back to Quito.

 

 

 

· Itinerary (4 days/ 3 nights)

 

1. day: like the 1st day of the itinerary (5days/ 4 nights)

 

2. day: Cuyabeno River

After breakfast we paddle by traditional dug-out canoe on Laguna del Caiman, where we will enjoy the nature uniqueness.

After lunch - hike in the primary forest including lessons in the use of plants for survival.

3. & 4. day: like the 4 th & 5th day of the itinerary (5days/ 4 nights)

 

 

 

· Itinerary (6 days/ 5 nights)

 

1. day: like the 1 st day of the itinerary (5 days/ 4 nights)

 

2. day: Cuyabeno River – Amarumposa

After breakfast we will enjoy the landscape and the wildlife going downstream the Cuyabeno river on a motor boat to the camp site in the Quichua community.

In the afternoon we will go to the Piranha fishing and later we go back to our camp. Exciting night walk.


3. day: Amarumposa

After breakfast - Expedition with an Indian guide, including lessons in the use of plants for survival through primary rain forest.

In the afternoon - paddling in a canoe around the camp through a small lake to explore more of the flora and fauna here. Night canoe trip in search of caimans (alligators).


4. day: Cuyabeno River - Aguarico River

After breakfast we will go to climb up to Samona (Ceibo) tree - tower for wildlife observations where we can observe a variety of species: Toucans, Parrots, Monkeys and many more.

In the afternoon we will search for fresh water dolphins in the confluence of Cuyabeno and Aguarico River, which pass the Quichua community.


5. day: Cuyabeno River

In the early morning – a short walk.

After breakfast - journey to Cuyabeno River to Shaman place where we learn about the culture, costumes and traditions of their community.

In the afternoon we will have a relaxing time to swim and enjoy the sunset on the magnificent Laguna Grande.

 

6. day: like the 5th day of the itinerary (5 days/ 4 nights)
