South America Explorers

Itinerary (6 days/ 5 nights)

1. day: like the 1 st day of the itinerary (5 days/ 4 nights)


2. day: Cuyabeno River – Amarumposa


After breakfast we will enjoy the landscape and the wildlife going downstream the Cuyabeno river on a motor boat to the camp site in the Quichua community.

In the afternoon we will go to the Piranha fishing and later we go back to our camp. Exciting night walk.

3. day: Amarumposa


After breakfast – Expedition with an Indian guide, including lessons in the use of plants for survival through primary rain forest.

In the afternoon – paddling in a canoe around the camp through a small lake to explore more of the flora and faunahere. Night canoe trip in search of caimans (alligators).

4. day: Cuyabeno River – Aguarico River


After breakfast we will go to climb up to Samona (Ceibo) tree – tower for wildlife observations where we can observe a variety of species: Toucans, Parrots, Monkeys and many more.

In the afternoon we will search for fresh water dolphins in the confluence of Cuyabeno and Aguarico River, which pass the Quichua community.

5. day: Cuyabeno River


In the early morning – a short walk.

After breakfast – journey to Cuyabeno River to Shaman place where we learn about the culture, costumes and traditions of their community.

In the afternoon we will have a relaxing time to swim and enjoy the sunset on the magnificent Laguna Grande.

6. day: like the 5th day of the itinerary (5 days/ 4 nights)
